What is a Hyaluronic Acid Injection?

This is the first BDDE-free injectable Hyaluronic Acid that targets the hydration of skin and treatment of skin laxity. It has a high concentration of stable, biocompatible, BBDE-free molecular Hyaluronic Acid HA (64mg/ 2ml) and is thermally processed to be released slowly during treatments.

This innovative bio-remodelling injectable combines low and high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid, in seeking to provide long-term benefits to those who opt for this injection or filler. The low-weight Hyaluronic Acid (L-HA) is time-released and aims to ensure long-lasting skin hydration, while high-weight Hyaluronic Acid (H-HA) seeks to provide a dermal scaffolding in the dermis that holds up and lifts the contours of your face to add volume.

This treatment lasts around 28 days in the skin. Within that time, it is designed to activate the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin in multiple skin layers that takes place by slow release of HA.

It distinguishes itself from conventional HA dermal fillers due to its compatibility with the body, attributed to the absence of BDDE. While a single treatment can potentially endure for approximately 6 to 9 months, medical professionals advocate a two-session course spaced four weeks apart, followed by biannual maintenance with two sessions. Research indicates that the anti-ageing benefits may persist for an extended period, ranging from 12 to 18 months; however, individual results may vary.

*It is also worth mentioning that this treatment is a sensitive medical product that requires shipping via pharmaceutical cold chain logistics, please refer to Neoasia to understand more.

Who is This For?

This Hyaluronic Acid Injectable is a next-level bio-remodelling and anti-ageing treatment. It is a tissue modulator that seeks to hydrate your skin from within and boost the production of new collagen and elastin for dewy, glowing and healthy-looking skin. To top it off, this treatment aims to stimulate four types of collagen, and elastin along with increasing adipocytes (fat) stem cells for tighter skin and enhanced defence against the signs of ageing.

If you’ve been considering this procedure, the following groups may be more likely to experience significant improvements:

  • Middle-aged individuals
  • Those with poor skin quality
  • People with mild to moderate skin laxity
  • Individuals displaying visible signs of ageing, including fine lines and wrinkles
  • Individuals with dry and sensitive skin
  • Those seeking a natural-looking enhancement for their skin

Overall, this treatment is generally suitable for all skin types, but it’s essential to consult with your doctor before proceeding.

What Are the Other Benefits of Bio-Remodelling Treatments?

It aims to reduce the level of pain through the use of the BAP Technique. It seeks to administer five jabs to each side of the face to diffuse the Hyaluronic Acid into the malar and sub malar areas. The chances of bruising and hematoma are much lower.Typically there is little downtime in this treatment, however, the time taken ranges from person to person, so it is best to consult your doctor for a clearer idea of the downtime needed for this treatment.

Cold Chain Logistics

What is the Procedure Like?

The face is cleansed and anaesthetic cream is applied onto the 5 Bio-Aesthetic Points (BAP) on each side of the face. The BAP represents the injection sites carefully selected to keep risks to vessels and nerves to a minimum. While it is typically administered in the lower face and cheek area, it can also be applied to the following areas:

  • Deep acne scars
  • Neck
  • Arms and hands
  • Chest

In contrast to other skincare procedures that may involve multiple injection points, this bio-remodelling treatment requires significantly fewer injections. Specifically, five injections are administered on each side of the face, along with ten injection points around the neck. Once injected, this treatment starts to spread throughout the face.

What Results Can I Expect From Hyaluronic Acid fillers?

Depending on where this treatment is injected (face, neck, inner arms and/or hands), it aims to stimulate the production of elastin, collagen and boosts hydration in the skin to bring about:

  • Softening and reduction of lines
  • Increased skin tautness
  • Healthier-looking skin
  • More youthful skin

Improvements in skin quality and hydration may be observed weeks after treatment and continue to show in the ensuing months. The effects typically last between six to 12 months. But results may differ from person to person, so do consult your doctor about the results you can expect to see.

Is There Any Downtime After My Bio-Remodelling Treatment?

Typically, the expected recovery period after the treatment is brief and the initial bumps observed at each injection site are expected to subside within the next few hours, with most people able to resume their regular “light” daily activities immediately post-procedure. However, the downtime for each person can differ, so it is best to speak to your doctor to have a better understanding of the time needed for recovery and what activities to abstain from in the meantime.

Recommendations From the Doctor

It is typically recommended to have two treatment sessions, one month apart for hyaluronic acid injections for your face and skin. However, your doctor will recommend a suitable treatment schedule based on your skin condition.

This treatment seeks to deliver great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetic treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions About Skin & Facial Hyaluronic Acid Injections

This treatment is not a dermal filler or skin revitaliser. It is in-between a skin booster and a filler, occupying a brand-new created injectable classification called bio-remodelling.

In the bio-remodelling process, there is neocollagenesis, where this Hyaluronic Acid aims to stimulate the collagen receptors in your skin. This is the end goal of aesthetic treatment because as we age, our collagen production dwindles, leading to sags and wrinkles; thus, we need to stimulate our skin to counter these ageing effects.

A new thermal cross-linking method called the NAHYCO TECHNOLOGY™ seeks to modify the characteristics of the two weights of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), with the aim of remodelling the skin tissues. This technique is commonly utilised in bio revitalisation treatments. This technology targets a longer-lasting time release of the two HA molecules and the redesigning of skin laxity.

This treatment is active as a treatment by itself, but also readily complements other aesthetic treatments in the doctor’s office. It is an enhancer to energy devices such as non-surgical RF skin tightening and non-invasive skin tightening & lifting treatment.

It is advisable to refrain from strenuous physical activities and sports on the initial day after the treatment. Also, it’s recommended to avoid saunas or steam baths for the first few days. Exposure to intense sunlight or UV light should also be minimised during the initial days following the treatment.

No, but the treatment is designed to reduce the level of pain associated with the procedure by incorporating the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) Technique, which chooses injection points with lesser vessels and nerves to minimise discomfort.

Like many non-surgical aesthetic treatments, there is a potential for side effects, which may include minor bruising or swelling at the injection sites. It’s important to note that these side effects are infrequent and typically resolve quickly when they do occur. But this treatment is not advised for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals with known allergies to Hyaluronic Acid.
