Autologous Skin Microfrafting for Androgenetic Alopecia® is a breakthrough treatment to address Androgenetic Alopecia — the most common cause of hair loss in men and women today.
Safe and clinically tested in multiple robust studies, Autologous Skin Microfrafting for Androgenetic Alopecia® uses the patient’s own scalp tissues (Autologous Micrograft) and injects them at thinning or balding areas. This activates dormant hair follicles by relying on your cell’s innate regenerative abilities, stimulating hair growth. As the cells used are from the patient’s own scalp, there is no risk of tissue rejection, sensitivity or allergy.
Before treatment, our doctors will first assess if your hair loss condition is suitable for Autologous Skin Microfrafting for Androgenetic Alopecia®.
The Autologous Skin Microfrafting for Androgenetic Alopecia® procedure can be broken down into three phases:
Harvest
Your doctor will analyze your scalp for healthy sites that can provide the best samples. Once identified, the area is shaved and local anaesthesia is administered before the samples are retrieved. Great care is taken to ensure that the sample site will recover smoothly.
Extraction
Using the Rigenera tool, samples are processed into an injectable suspension of regenerative cells ready to be injected.
Injection
Your doctor carefully deposits the suspension into thinning or balding areas through multiple, small injections.
The whole procedure takes about 30 – 45 minutes.
This procedure is performed by our doctors who are registered with the Singapore Medical Council.
Gradual improvements in hair quality, density and coverage across the scalp can be observed as early as one month after treatment; with evaluation studies showing continued hair growth benefits up till a year and more! As samples are taken from your own scalp, there is no risk of adverse effects or bad reactions.
